Raw Truth

Tracie Price is a photographer who explores the modernist architectural style of Brutalism post-1945 and the ongoing relationship with the current battles of urban decay caused by neglect through the decades. She focuses on two major cities heavily affected by the bombing in the second world war, Birmingham and Coventry. In this project, 'Raw Truth', she works in two different photography styles, architectural & macro, using the two opposing scales to convey urban decay's impact on these buildings' exteriors. However, despite their lack of 'beauty' from their simplistic design, these buildings can stand the test of time, still present in our city's skylines.
